Step 1: Plan for Success

A unique Story Graph shows the easy (and effective) way to plan stories both narratives, recounts and persuasive. Your kids will never again ask 'But what will I write…' again!

Step 2: Sizzling Starts

No more 'I got up that morning and got dressed...' Children laugh and learn never to start stories the old boring ways again. We even do the fabulous Five Starts in Five Minutes game - they love it!

Step 3: Tightening Tension

Fast-paced group brainstorming shows students the power of what they see, hear, touch, taste and feel in a scene – then they write furiously for four minutes, with fantastic results.

Try these three ways

  1. Book a Seven Steps PD, followed by 1- 5 days of student modelling sessions.
  2. Choose Your Step - Get a one hour Teacher PD in the morning staff meeting, followed by 3 sessions of classroom modelling. Do this 7 times and you'll have your teachers AND students trained in all the Seven Steps!
  3. Step-by-Step - TWO steps at a time e.g. two hours of PD after school and modelling sessions the next day.

There is often an immediate improvement in students' writing in just one lesson. Teachers say kids write more in our five minute fast writing exercises than they normally do in a day!
