Dianne has an impressive and extensive background in education. Highly regarded and respected, she is passionate about teaching – and the Seven Steps!
Having a keen interest in helping students with learning difficulties, Dianne is a Reading Recovery teacher and a mentor to other Reading Recovery teachers. Her dedication to teaching also extended to student welfare in her Leading Teacher role as Learning Co-ordinator Prep to Six, and her position on the Maths Professional Learning Team – Prep to Six.
As a Seven Steps presenter
Originally Dianne became hooked on Seven Steps when she was team teaching with a colleague who was using the Seven Steps approach to guide the daily writing lessons. And it worked!
Dianne particularly enjoys presenting to regional teachers, as they do not have the same ease of access to teacher PD as their city counterparts. Their willingness to travel great distances and their enthusiasm to embrace new ideas keeps Dianne motivated to provide the very best information to assist them with literacy in the classroom.
As an educator, Dianne brings her valuable knowledge and skills to her role as Seven Steps presenter and her enthusiasm for using the program in the classroom is infectious!
Interests
With a love of travel (reaching as far as South America and China) Dianne also enjoys physical exercise such as Pilates and Karate. Don’t mess with her!
