If you are an individual member, why not get your school on board and take advantage of our fantastic offer of 6 weeks absolutely free for any school licences purchased before the 9th December 2016.
Thank you to everyone who took part in our recent survey and congratulations to our survey winner, Kerry Frank from Nambucca Valley CCS. We hope you are enjoying our new Writing Essentials resource!
Your feedback is invaluable and we have already started addressing some of the points you raised. As well as providing more of the resources you find most useful, such as the training videos, Action Activities and Lesson Plans, we are working on ways to make it easier for you to find what you are looking for on the members site. We’ll soon be releasing a new search/filter function on the Classroom Downloads page that will allow you to search for resources by Step, text type, activity type and year level.
We are keen to ensure that you get the most out of your subscription and that you have the ongoing support that you need to successfully implement the Seven Steps in your classroom.
Here’s how other Seven Steps Online members are using the resources:
‘Our whole school Seven Steps Online licence has been invaluable in up-skilling our staff (many beginning teachers) with the tools to use Seven steps in the classroom. We have used the online course in a variety of ways at staff meeting PD sessions and teachers are able to access the information again, whenever they want.’
(Lynn Mattingley, Master Teacher, Middlemount Community School, QLD)
‘I recommended the Seven Steps to Writing Success to my colleagues at a staff meeting where I ran a small session with examples of my student’s writing samples (Sizzling Starters are a favourite in my class). The NAPLAN information and activities such as the writing rubric and mini lessons with Learning Intentions and Success Criteria are excellent tools to use during our Daily 5 and Café sessions, which I suggested is a great opportunity for word work and writing time!’
(Lidia Lacy, Grade 5 Teacher and Literacy Coordinator, Myrniong Primary School, Vic)
‘The real class videos are great. I have done the course at school for PD but I love how the online REMINDS me what I have forgotten. I have it there whenever I need it.’
(Leticha Mathison, Teacher, Childers State School, Qld)
Have a great holiday and get ready to persuade!
