If you continue to browse and use this website you are agreeing to comply with and be bound by the following terms and conditions of use, which together with our privacy policy and website disclaimer, govern Highlighting Writing Pty Ltd’s (trading as ‘Seven Steps to Writing Success’) relationship with you in relation to your use of this website.
By using this website, you signify your acceptance of these terms and conditions of use. For the purposes of these terms and conditions, “Us”, “Our” and “We” refers to Seven Steps to Writing Success and “You” and “Your” refers to you, the client, visitor, website user or person using our website.
Revisions
Seven Steps to Writing Success may change these terms from time to time and so you should check them regularly. Your continued use of our website will be deemed acceptance of the updated or amended terms. If you do not agree to the changes, you should cease using our website immediately.
If any of these terms are determined to be illegal, invalid or otherwise unenforceable, it shall be severed and deleted from these terms and the remaining terms shall survive and continue to be binding and enforceable.
Acceptable Use
You agree to use our website only for lawful purposes, and in a way that does not infringe the rights of, restrict or inhibit anyone else’s use and enjoyment of the website. Prohibited behaviour includes harassing or causing distress or inconvenience to any other user, transmitting obscene or offensive content or disrupting the normal flow of dialogue within our website.

Purchases
You agree to provide current, complete and accurate purchase and account information for all purchases made at our store. You agree to promptly update your account and other information, including your email address and credit card numbers and expiration dates, so that we can complete your transactions and contact you as needed.
Returns and Refunds
Seven Steps to Writing Success handles returns and processes refunds in accordance with the Australian Consumer Protection legislation.
Should you wish to return your order, please notify us within 30 days of purchase with a valid reason for return. If we are unable to resolve your complaint or further assist you, we will process a refund upon timely receipt of the goods purchased. Unopened goods will be refunded in full. Refunds will be processed promptly and payment made by the same method that you made payment. All refunds are made at the discretion of Seven Steps to Writing Success.
Cancellations
Seven Steps To Writing Success retains the right to cancel any Workshop, School PD or other training event due to unforeseeable circumstances, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather incidents, epidemics/pandemics and closures of airports. We will aim to provide as much advance notification of the cancellation as possible. In those instances, a full refund of your booking fee or transfer to another Seven Steps training event (if available) will be offered. The Seven Steps will not be held liable for any expenses incurred to the participant (e.g. travel and accommodation expenses) due to cancellation.
Seven Steps to Writing Success reserves the right to cancel any Workshop within five business days of the event if a minimum number of participants do not book in. We will provide at least five business days notice if this does occur, and a full refund of your booking fee or transfer to another Seven Steps training event (if available) will be offered.

Seven Steps Online is deemed a restricted area and requires a personal account to access and use its materials.
Registration
To be eligible for an individual account on our website (Sited as ‘Seven Steps Online’), you must be at least 18 years of age. You or your school may register for an account with our website by completing and submitting the account registration form on our website, and clicking on the verification link in the email that the website will send to you.
Seven Steps Online 7-day free trial will automatically request payment after 7 days if you do not cancel or contact Seven Steps to Writing Success to cancel prior to the 7-day end date. By signing up to the 7-day trial you are also agreeing to these terms and conditions, together with our privacy policy and website disclaimer.
User Login Details
If you register for an account with our website, you will be asked to register an email address and password.
You must not allow any other person to use your account to access the website, and must notify us in writing immediately if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account.
You must not use any other person’s account to access the website, unless you have our and that person’s express, written permission to do so.
Use of Content
Designs, images, code and content found within Seven Steps Online is deemed confidential and must not be used, shared or posted to anyone outside the scope of the licencing agreement, described below.
For current Individual Licence holders (referred as ‘your’), Seven Steps Online access, material and resource use is limited:
- for personal development of self; and/or
- for development, learning and growth of your current and immediate students; and/or
- in learning spaces such as classroom(s) of which your current and immediate students engage in learning; and/or
- to show exemplar works to a supervisor, leader or mentor as to the nature of the resources.
For current School Licence holders, Seven Steps Online access, material and resource use is limited:
- for personal and school-wide training and development of employees, educators, teachers, contractors, CRTs and consultants, contracted by the school; and/or
- for development, learning and growth of the school’s current and immediate students; and/or
- in all areas of the school’s current and immediate students; and/or
- to show exemplar works to regional consultants, neighbouring or related schools or government educational officers as to the nature of the resources.
For expired Individual or School Licence holders, Seven Steps Online downloadable material is deemed licenced for personal development and training of your current and immediate students only.
For all other persons, the use of material found on Seven Steps Online is strictly prohibited.
Cancellation and Suspension of Account
We may suspend, cancel and/or edit your account details at any time in our sole discretion without notice or explanation. You may cancel your account on our website using your Account control panel on the website.
Limitations and Liability
Reliance on Material
The materials at this site are provided “as is” without any express or implied warranty of any kind including warranties of merchantability, non-infringement if intellectual property, or fitness for any particular purpose.
In no event shall Seven Steps to Writing Success or its agents or officers be liable for any damages whatsoever (including, without limitation, damages for loss of profits, business interruption, loss of information, injury or death) arising out of the use of or inability to use the materials, even if Seven Steps to Writing Success has been advised of the possibility of such loss or damages.
It shall be your own responsibility to ensure that any products, services or information available through this website meet your specific, personal requirements.
Competition and Consumer Act
For the purposes of Schedule 2 of the Australian Consumer Law, in particular Sections 51 to 53, 64 and 64A of Part 3-2, Division 1, Subdivision A of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth), Seven Steps to Writing Success’s liability for any breach of a term of this agreement is limited to: the supplying of the goods or services to you again; the replacement of the goods; or the payment of the cost of having the goods or services supplied to you again.
Delivery of Goods
Physical goods may be delivered by Australia Post and/or other reputable courier companies. Deliveries are processed promptly upon receipt of full payment. Delivery may take between 2 and 14 days, depending on the delivery option. Damaged or lost orders should be resolved with Australia Post or the courier company directly and we are not responsible for goods that are damaged in transit or not received. Replacement of damaged or lost items is made at the discretion of Seven Steps to Writing Success.
Digital goods are delivered immediately. Please be aware there are inherent risks associated with downloading any software and digital goods. Should you have any technical problems downloading any of our goods, please contact us so we may try to assist you.
